One year retreat in Portugal

A one year meditation retreat is great way to grow your awareness consciousness and fully recharge your body, mind and spirit. 

We are developing Florago as a community for long term meditation retreats of one year and more. Florago is located near Penamacor in central Portugal. It is an oasis of peace in one of the last quiet areas in Europe. We want you to enjoy this meditative silence, nature and the views of the surroundings and the Estrelas Mountains.

We are developing the land at Florago based on the principles of permaculture design and organic farming. So working with nature instead of against nature and no use of synthetic fertilisers or pesticides. We are creating a diverse food forest with fruits, nuts, berries and herbs. And we plan to grow much of our own vegetables and herbs. 

During your stay on Florago we do our meditation practices, yoga, work the land, go for hikes, relax and enjoy each others company. If you are interested, you can also join our construction work where we build a shower and toilet building, communal space and kitchen, shed and a meditation platform with an amazing view on the mountains.

You can stay on the land in your own accommodation (tent, yurt, tiny house, camper van or caravan) for only €300 per month. If required you can also rent a small caravan for an additional €200 per month.

From October 2026 we can welcome 4 participants in our first one year meditation retreat.
