We are not the only creatures who love fruit and nut trees. Sheep, goats and deer love to nibble at the leaves. Wild boar love to eat the bark, push over the young trees and eat their roots. If the trees are mature, it is not a real problem. But it is not ideal if you want a young food forest to survive. Most of the land of Lago already has a fence, but there were some openings. In the main entrance we built this beautiful wooden fence that was designed by Joyce. It was quite some work to dig the holes and make sure that everything was installed level. But we are very happy with the end result. The animals outside will have to find some other trees to nibble at, but there are plenty of them around, so no worries for them.
