In general the tendency in Portugal is that the land is becoming dryer and dryer. Slowly turning into a dessert where the reservoirs are almost empty.
It is possible to change the weather patterns by planting trees. And that is what we did last autumn. That it had such a quick result, we never would have imagined. :-))) The whole winter was quite wet already and the last couple of days it is raining cats and dogs. So severe that it is not possible to enter the land with our van. So we walked.
Nature is striving, the lake on our land is filled to the brim and even the river close to our land is properly streaming.
